Hard Garage Floor Coatings,How to ?

Garage Floor Coatings is Not Hard to Do

By Dickson Yan

Improving the look of your garage, or fixing those problem areas is a great time to use garage floor coatings. The material works by bonding to your cement and is usually made up of epoxy product. Coating your garage floor with this epoxy material can help protect it from cracking, weathering, oil spills and other types of moisture that can threaten to wear and length of use of your garage floor.

Your garage floor coatings can be pretty inexpensive, depending on the size of the garage you are covering. For around $200 you can coat an entire two car garage, and some smaller fixes and repairs can be done for around $60. Where you get the material and kits from will also determine how much you pay for your coating and coating kits.

Floor epoxy can be used for repairing cracks and small issues and even without the help of a professional. If you have never done a re-coating job before and you need to re-coat your entire garage, it may be smart to bring someone in who has done this before and knows what they are doing. Plus, most of these kits are for do it yourself so you can be sure it can be done alone, without enlisting a pro and having to pay them as well.

Your personal tastes will be respected as you can customize the way you coat your floor. While you can have simple garage floor coatings to help protect your floor, others prefer something a little flashier. Sparkles, different colors and paint chips can all be added to your coating to make your floor stand out even more. If you are into working on Harley Motorcycles you can add some orange paint chips or splatter on a black floor coating can go with any Harley themed garage. Of course this is just one of the many design ideas you can use and integrate into your garage floor coatings projects.

Properly de-greasing and cleaning your floor before applying floor covering is always recommended. Etching and roughing up your flooring before coating is also an option. Now days these garage floor coatings aren't just for your garage anymore. Entry ways, play rooms, home offices and swimming pools are all places you can use these coatings. This coating material is good for any room with a floor needing a proper sealant

Allowing yourself plenty of time to coat your floor is very important. A week is a good time frame to give yourself before beginning to coat your floor. Larger garages, for two or more cars, should be given two or more weeks to complete the task. If you rush the garage floor coatings process your coat will be less effective and could cause cracks later down the road that can cost you even more money to fix. Allowing yourself plenty of time, and following all the instructions will make your coating process go smoothly and finish in no time.

With careful preparation, installing new garage floor coatings can be very easy. I'll show you the best kits to buy for installing your garage floor coatings.

  1. http://www.goldbankllc.com

The underlying principal for the founding of GoldBank is that the U.S.A is entering a very long period of negative economic growth (inflation adjusted) and that our government solutions of more debt and more money printing will only exacerbate the problem --- more debt on the backs of our children and a destroyed currency. Gold has gone up in value every year for the last 8 years --- I can’t think of any other investment class that has performed that consistently in the same time frame
